New owner made some changes to the menu, not a fan of them but willing to be open to them figuring out it was a mistake to change something that worked so well. Will give them another try in a few months and hope they don't burn the chicken and have pasta back.
The new owner Hope has brought this iconic eating establishment to a new level of amazing!!!! The Mediterranean Shrimp is a must have and the Scallop Marsala is to die for! Hope's locally famous meatballs can't be beat either!
Romantic little spot. You walk in and it feels pretty special. As you are seated they off bread, a container of oil, a bowl of herbs and parmigiana cheese. Finally some bread. It's a little interaction with your dinner mixing it up. Our meals came with salad. They we're quickly delivered. I remember commenting on how good the blue cheese was.The food was really great. More than enough food for leftovers. I had a meal with lasagna, chicken and one other dish. The food was fast, hot and really good.The manager came to see how our meals were. I thought that was a nice touch.
Atmosphere is comfortable & welcoming. Chicken Parm was excellent. Only complaint would be the bread tasted day old and wasn't even warmed, a huge no-no for a family Italian restaurant.
Eat here every year after Christmas as tradition with my family. Under new ownership now, but food has maintained quality, if not better than before! My favorite is mediterranean shrimp. Great balance between the amount of pasta, artichokes and lots of shrimp. Some new decor and some local beers on tap too. Definitely recommend them and will continue to do so.
